The film "The Band's Visit" will be shown and discussed. On an ordinary day, the Alexandria Ceremonial Police Orchestra arrives in Israel from Egypt for a cultural event, only find there is no delegation to meet them, nor any arrangements to get to their destination of Petah Tiqva. When they find their own ride, they arrive instead at the remote town of Beit Hatikva. Stuck there until the next morning's bus, the band, lead by the repressed Tawfiq Zacharaya, gets help from the worldly lunch owner, Dina, who offers to put them up for the night. As the band settles in as best it can, each of the members attempts to get along with the natives in their own way. What follows is a special night of quiet happenings and confessions as the band makes its own impact on the town and the town on them.

Coexistence, Inc. proudly presents Embracing Our Differences, an international outdoor art exhibit intended to demonstrate in a positive way that diversity enriches our lives. The Embracing Our Differences exhibit features 39 billboard size images created by professional artists, art students, and school children from Florida and around the world. Their creations reflect their interpretation of the message: "enriching lives through diversity." An interesting feature of the exhibition is the inclusion of the quotations that accompany each image. These quotations were chosen from entries submitted by members of the community and speak of the value of respecting the differences of others.

This public forum will serve as the conclusion of a two-day symposium analyzing the intersection of women, religion, and peacemaking. Information about the symposium is available at the Berkley Center website. The website features interviews with participants, as well as other leaders who could not be present. CRT will join over a dozen civil and human rights organizations for an afternoon of information, celebration and networking at the Marshall Center at USF in Tampa. Free food, great speakers, and entertainment included! Come and ask questions about important civil rights issues including job discrimination, immigrant rights, civil liberties, and other critical concerns for our community. Keynote speakers include Dr, Donna Elam, Chair of the Florida Commission on Human Relations and Manuel Zurita, Director of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. CRT will have a booth and be available to discuss religious tolerance and how it relates to other human rights issues
