CRT Allies


Shin is an Israeli non-profit organization founded in February 1989 to encourage the participation of women in political and public leadership positions in Israel. Since then, Shin has carried out numerous activities including public debates, campaigns in support of women candidates, and women’s leadership training. CRT currently partners with Shin in the implementation of Women Reborn: Social Empowerment for Palestinian Women, and the Young Women’s Parliament. United Religions Initiative

United Religions Initiative
United Religions Initiative is a global community promoting interfaith cooperation and working to end religiously motivated violence. The URI includes over 300 “cooperation circles” in 65 countries, representing more than 100 religions, spiritual expressions, and indigenous traditions. CRT is a cooperation circle in the North American region of URI, and one of our programs, the Abrahamic Reunion, is a cooperation circle in the Middle East-North Africa region.

The Alliance for Middle East Peace

The Alliance for Middle East Peace (ALLMEP) is a coalition of over 55 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) promoting people-to-people coexistence between Arabs and Jews, Israelis and Palestinians in the Middle East. Through ALLMEP, Americans from diverse religious, ethnic, and political backgrounds can join together in support to build lasting peace in the region. CRT is a member of ALLMEP.

Venice Interfaith Community Association

Association was born from the observation that the Venice, Florida community was expanding, not only in size but in diversity. Although many Christian denominations were represented in the Venice area, there was no group that embraced the growing populations of other faiths as well. Venice Interfaith promotes the development of a local culture which reflects the love, understanding, and support of and between all community members as taught by all of the faith traditions represented in our society. Both individual and institutional members are welcomed. CRT partners with VICA on a variety of interfaith community events and activities.

South West Florida Coalition for Peace and Justice

The South West Florida Coalition for Peace and Justice (SWFCPJ) works to build a more peaceful and just world by 1) Serving as the umbrella organization for a growing number of local groups working for this objective. 2) Sponsoring discussions, vigils, and other events to raise awareness of social issues. 3) Presenting a unified and more powerful voice for peace to the public and to elected officials. 4)Recognizing outstanding contributions by those working to advance a culture of peace and nonviolence. 5)Encouraging groups to network and share resources whenever possible. Ocean Interfaith

The Mission of the Ocean Interfaith Community is to promote religious understanding, tolerance, and appreciation through the hearing of the world’s sacred music, and fellowship with members of these religions. Ocean Interfaith is an organization of people of many faiths and traditions. In addition to CRT, they have partnered with the Women’s Interfaith Network, the Baha’i Community of Sarasota, the Mitreya Center,and the Unity Church of Sarasota. They host interfaith programs and concerts of music, meditation, and inspiration. People of all faiths and traditions are invited to join. Ocean Interfaith Community Facebook.


Mpanzi Empowering Women and Girls is a non-profit organization advancing the empowerment of women and girls in rural villages in Kenya. Mpanzi works to eliminate violence against women, providing a safe space for survivors to share their stories and build social support, and working with health clinics, local chiefs and law enforcement to prevent and respond to gender-based violence. Mpanzi also sponsors the education of needy girls, helps women develop economic self-sufficiency, and supports inter-ethnic and inter-tribal peacebuilding.


Elana Director or Trust-Emun
Trust-Emun is an Israeli non-profit organization committed to building mutual trust and understanding between Israelis and Palestinians and between Israeli Jews, Muslims, Christians, and Druze. Their focus is on person-to-person activities, including dialogue, education, and social events. CRT has partnered with Trust-Emun on a number of projects, including a Women’s Interfaith Leadership Development workshop in Amman, Jordan, in September 2007. Trust-Emun was also the inspiration for the development of the Women’s Interfaith Network (WIN) of Sarasota-Bradenton (see Local Interfaith Activities). There are many organizations that share the vision of CRT and are supported by our members – we’d like to highlight these organizations as partners in our vision to share the light of peace and tolerance. 

  • Fogartyville Community Media & Arts Center: is a project of the Peace Education and Action Center located at 525 Kumquat Court in Sarasota. The Center helps fulfill the mission of the PEACenter by: 1) providing a space for community groups to come together to discuss issues of concern (fostering democracy and cooperation); 2) fostering the creation and distribution of media and art emphasizing underrepresented voices and perspectives. 3) promoting empowerment and expression through media and arts education and performance. 4) Making the PEACenter resource library more accessible to the public.
  • Agape Outreach Inc.: Agape Outreach Inc. providing outreach services to at-risk youth and their families. The services provided are tutoring, life skills education, parenting skills, one on one counseling, support groups for children and adults, as well as spiritual guidance. All our services are free to the children and their families.
  • Hispanic Outreach Center: The vision of the InterCultural Advocacy Institute is a unified, peaceful and engaged community, where all individuals may contribute their talents free of discrimination based on language, race, culture or ethnicity.
  • Pachamama Alliance of Tampa Bay: We are a diverse community from all paths of life;  interested in taking actions with other local organizations that are aligned with the vision of the Pachamama Alliance for sustaining a healthy Mother Earth, for all species, for all time.
  • Peace4Tarpon : Peace4Tarpon Trauma Informed Community Initiative is a grassroots effort – the first of its kind in the nation. Peace4Tarpon looks through a “trauma-informed lens” to seek the root causes of our most challenging issues rather than addressing symptoms. We are working to create a peaceful and thriving Tarpon Springs.
  • United Religions Initiative (URI): The purpose of URI is to promote enduring, daily interfaith cooperation, to end religiously motivated violence and to create cultures of peace, justice, and healing for the Earth and all living beings.
